This project focuses on how future design interventions can create a landscape that's resistant to forest fire.
“This project investigates how landscape architecture and building design can resist and adapt to forest fires, emphasizing the combined effects of wind and fire dynamics. It explores fire-resistant vegetation, wind-buffering layouts, and sustainable land management to mitigate fire spread. Additionally, the study addresses architectural solutions such as aerodynamically optimized structures, fire-resistant materials, and passive fire protection systems that withstand high wind speeds and embers carried by wind. By integrating these strategies, the research aims to create holistic design interventions that reduce fire risk, enhance structural durability, and promote ecological recovery, ensuring long-term safety and environmental resilience.”
