Beats & Bolts

Beats & Bolts is a rhythm action game that is set in the industrial revolution. I took on the role of visual direction for the game through concept art and worked with my team to settle on a finalized look. I also contributed to the 3D models for the boss and player, as well as implementing their rig. From there, I did animations for 2D (Introduction and Conclusion cutscenes) & 3D (animated idle, attack 1, attack 2, and stumble animations for the character).

I used both Procreate and Adobe After Effects to create an animatic like animation for the cutscenes. I mimicked a paper puppet like movement for the character movements that imitate 2D animation or aesthetic.
