“The reason why I came to OCAD was the captivation with games and the visual design put behind each one. I wanted to learn the process of game design while creating visuals and assets. For my GradEx exhibition, it is a compilation of my four years here in OCAD of starting with no knowledge of approaching to game making, to creating a whole pipeline for visual development.”
Hedy Fu is a Chinese-Canadian artist born in Vancouver. She always had a passion for designing characters and storytelling, but furthermore always loved games - from IOS to Java to PC games. Her passions are the base for her practices, but she also begins to understand the social responsibilities as an artist. She hopes to continue her practice in a way to be inclusive while maintaining her own identity as an artist.
