Heart of my Sister

This diptych is dedicated to my long time best friend, Kyra. Although this playroom was built for me, it shared itself to another. As an only child I often felt the weight of trying to figure life out on my own, but with her support it made things feel lighter. That room acted as our sanctuary; we laughed, played, fought, and cried, and became the women that we are today. These paintings allow me to freeze this sanctuary in time so that it can last forever as an artifact of our friendship.
