Meet the Artist
Raquel
Lopes
“My art focuses on healing as an experience, more recently stemming from the realization of generational trauma. Through my work I explore my personal journey with self-development. I use art as a form of therapy; it's about addressing trauma, expressing emotions, challenging limiting beliefs, accepting myself, and trusting my intuition wholeheartedly. ”

Raquel is a Toronto-based artist interested in stirring the line between reality and dream world, memory, fluid non-existent realms, and realizing life mainly through landscape and portraiture. Currently she's focused on self-development, and continues to enjoy abstract ideas of the self. She works in a variety of mediums such as, acrylic, oil, watercolour, encaustic wax, and general drawing, as well as being versed in 3D Modeling, digital painting, animation, and photo editing.
