“...so I had this weird dream that I could turn into a mouse, and I thought, why not make this a video game?”

Teo Degli Angeli (she/he/they) is a genderfluid Italian-Canadian technical artist studying in their final year of Experimental Animation and the Games & Play minor at OCAD University, Toronto. As a member of student-led Studio49, Teo has won Best 3D Animation at the Midway Animation Fair for their 2024 short film Boy Goes Fishing: What He Caught Will SHOCK You!. They experiment with 3D, 2D, and time-based media to challenge social views and expectations surrounding gender, sustainability, body neutrality, and community. Teo also creates interactive experiences that immerse her audience, and her games tend to follow themes of wildlife surviving in urban spaces, as well as the transgender experience. Teo is currently interning on a short film Inwives for Toronto animation studio Embreate, as well as working on their independent upcoming 3D stealth RPG Mousing, for which they have been awarded the Brampton Arts Organization Prize, a grant to continue development. They also design and sell papercraft projects for their initiative Papercrafts4Palestine.
