“"My pieces explore themes of nostalgia and happiness through vintage subject matter and bright colour use. I have always been interested in vintage and retro themes and aesthetics, and I show my appreciation for them through my artwork. All of my pieces tell a story about time and place, in relation to my personal memories. I work in a bright, lively, playful style that people can connect to and feel good about, in which I hope my bubbly personality shows. With my work, I hope to bring viewers a sense of joy and a smile by giving the spotlight to things I consider beautiful." ”

Hi everyone! My name is Breanna Youkhana, and I am a Canadian-born visual artist based just north of Toronto, Ontario. My focus is directed towards the traditional mediums of acrylic painting, although I also work with drawing, screen printing, gouache, watercolour, and mixed media. I will be graduating this June from OCAD University with a major in Drawing and Painting and a minor in Art History. In my work I love to use bright colours, and most of my pieces are inspired by mid-20th-century aesthetics, pop culture, and objects. My work is bubbly and nostalgic, and I hope to make people smile when they see my artwork!
