A print exploring retro-style roadside motel signs.

“In this print, I wanted to capture the beauty and nostalgia I experience when seeing old motel signs on road trips. This is a sign that does not exist, I created the design through what I envision when I think of retro roadside motel signs. I chose soft colours and integrated the colour of the paper through the use of negative space in the dots around the main yellow portion of the print. I wanted to capture the essence and nostalgia of these signs, as they are not typically viewed as "beautiful", and rather looked past when driving.”
