If you asked me what graphic design was four years ago, I wouldn't be able to tell you. If you asked me today, I still wouldn't have that answer. It's not because I never figured it out, but because I learned that there's no one definitive answer. You could say it's like air. It's something you interact with every day, practically invisible to the eye (if you're not actively looking for it), but it's something you can't live without.My name is Michael Zhang, and I'm a Graphic Designer. I create art, communicate ideas and solve problems, in whatever creative way I find most appropriate and effective. In design, I strongly believe in function first. Allowing the purpose or goal define the visual. In that sense, I wouldn't say I have a specific style or specialty, but instead, I love exploring different mediums, techniques, and skills to find the best method to communicate my ideas.
