BiographyParastoo Mahmoudi is a Canadian-Iranian visual artist currently living in Toronto, CA. She started practicing her primary drawing skills in 1996. She studied the human body's anatomy and portraits by drawing and sculpting life models and experimenting with different mediums and techniques. Mahmoudi's work is in collections worldwide, including Tehran, Dubai, and Toronto. She has experience teaching adults in groups from 2016 to 2019 in Toronto. Parastoo has been in Life-Studies major and Drawing & Painting minor at OCAD University since September 2018. Currently, she is working on immersive installations, performances, drawings and paintings to explore the relationship between those life experiences and how I became who I am.
