The space inside an idea where an idea is only an idea

An abstracted closet space representing the interior of the mind. Secluded, focused, and comforting.

“This work takes a childhood fantasy of wanting to live inside of one’s closet and identifies the metaphorical needs of that fantasy. A place of self expression. Closets act as the encapsulation of one’s identity in the form of current expression (clothing), passive expression (tools), past expression (storage). The closet contains the material self. My fantasy is motivated by a desire to exist in a space surrounded by what I own, but in reality to exist in my immaterial self: my thoughts. ”
