Sun Distortion
Painting
2025
Oil on canvas
48 x 48 inches
Beginning the "Sun Distortion" series, this painting explores the artist's relationship with the sun in nature, evoking the essence of each environment without simply depicting it. These distortions reflect the evolution of memory, becoming more visually abstract while maintaining emotional intensity. Thinly layered on the canvas, the oil paint acquires a sinuous quality, giving the composition quiet, organic movement. When the viewer becomes immersed in the paintings intricacies and finds calm in its moments of rest, the work it is complete.
