Beyond the Threshold is a short 2D animation that follows a young girl as she embarks on a quiet yet eerie adventure

“Influenced by traditional Chinese folk culture. The film is light and concise but carries an underlying sense of unease, which gradually builds as the girl encounters symbolic thresholds. These thresholds, rooted in Chinese folklore, represent the boundary between the everyday world and the unknown, drawing parallels to Western superstitions like "don’t step on the cracks."”
