Family Goblin And Hope of Reunion

A family photo embedded in a collected wooden object holds a hope for reunion and a fragile, bubble-like connection across time.

“Third sculpture is Family Goblin and Hope of Reunion. Family Goblin is motivated by the last family photo we took right before I left Korea. Each of us is portrayed in different types of succulent that depicts their personalities. Family Goblin is embedded in a collected wooden piece from a family trip that is one of my mother’s favorite types of wood and scent, sandalwood. ”
