Xandria ("Xeiv") Moreno is a Toronto based multidisciplinary artist who specializes in digital painting. Their works are heavily influenced by Japanese anime and manga, illustration, and contemporary media that takes on an experimental approach to the grunge aesthetic. Their style adopts visual elements of abstract expressionism, pop art, and the movement and shape languages of graffiti; Combining them into a hybrid of techniques as an extension of the psyche and the physical body. While drawing from personal experiences, Xandria's works explores embodying the perspective on the gritty and distressed imperfections of the self and using it as a means for personal narrative, self expression and visual storytelling. They often seek to explore the fluid motions and nuances of these techniques while pushing their work into a multidimensional digital space. Their art presents compositions that are illustrative in nature, often featuring characters, heavy use of textures and intense and vibrant colours to mirror the physical and metaphysical.
