“'Auri: Personalities In Flux' investigates how well-known personality frameworks, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Big Five, are understood and utilized in contemporary society, particularly among Gen Z, and how these interpretations are shared and communicated among individuals. Auri (pronounced “Oh-Ree”) is an interactive design artifact that presents personalities in flux using the Enneagram framework. Her aim is to encourage users to speak meaningfully about the key differences and features of their personalities, while recognizing that identity is layered and constantly changing. To discuss both the flattering and less flattering traits is to foster deeper understanding and compassion for the self and others, encouraging growth beyond fixed personality traits. Paired with a user manual, Auri encourages a more intuitive, informative, and engaging approach to learning about personality, while simultaneously promoting connection and growth among its users.”

Jaelycka Licuanan Martinez (pronounced "jay-LIE-ka") is a Filipino-Canadian graphic designer based in Toronto. Her creative journey began at age 12 with video editing, where she developed an early interest in storytelling through motion. This led her to explore other ways of making, eventually guiding her into the world of graphic design. Jaelycka enjoys anything interactive, poetic, and a little strange. In her free time, she creates experimental motion work and participates in multi-editor projects. With a focus on experimentation and continuous refinement, she approaches each project as an opportunity to learn, communicate, and reflect.
