“My work aims to visualize the intersection between illustration and graphic design through my thesis project: "Quick Fix Catalogue", a series of packaging and branding design materials for fictional satirical products that serve as "quick fixes" to internal abstract problems.”

My name is Jasmynne Yun Jung Kang, and I am a Korean-American illustrator, graphic designer, and creative thinker. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I came to Canada in pursuit of new life experiences and to learn more about the world and about my own practice in design. With a strong passion for illustration, packaging design, and 3D art, I'm a creative problem solver from ideation to finalization, ensuring to provide a unique perspective in terms of design and collaboration. With previous experience as a graphic design intern and a small art business owner, I believe strongly in communication, collaboration, and consistently learning and trying new things. I am confident in my ability to communicate and collaborate with others and receive/give feedback when needed, and I thrive when working with others. From ideating to drafting to finalizing, I value feedback more than anything to ensure I'm creating the best work I can. Design is an ever evolving journey that involves infinite opportunities for growth, and I still have much to learn. I'm a designer that likes to be challenged and try new things, constantly learning and improving.
