“Ecotone explores dreams through the lens of Anishinaabe cosmologies. Heavily influenced by the feeling right before you enter a dream. This installation will engage many senses.”

Macie Dixon is an interdisciplinary Anishinaabe artist and storyteller from the Snapping Turtle Clan, originating from Curve Lake First Nation. She is currently based in Toronto, pursuing a BFA in Drawing and Painting at OCAD U. Macie has participated in group exhibitions in both Canada and the UK and is now branching out from painting into installation. Her current work explores plants as art and land as pedagogy, centring community with nature and mamatowisiwin. She engages with these concepts through multiple mediums, including plant cultivation and filmmaking.
