“Embodied Environs implies how infrastructure requires conscious maintenance as though it were the organs of our bodies. Human organs and infrastructure are synthesized to indicate the significance of sustainably maintaining our environments as though they were our own bodies.”
Meagan Li is a Toronto-based illustrator with a passion for world-building concept art and describing visual narratives.Her work emphasizes how infrastructural care manifests as a collective responsibility for communal well-being as the safeguarding of infrastructure becomes indistinguishable from the preservation of the ecological and social systems that sustain human life.When she is not busy creating illustrations, you will find her growing plants and visiting art galleries in Toronto.
