This news article, reported in the Toronto Star in 1980, describes an urban noise dispute between a rock guitarist and her neighbour. The dispute was initiated by the vibrations passing through the neighbours' shared wall during guitar practice, and it eventually escalated near the point of physical violence. The dispute was, however, resolved through professional mediation. The two traded telephone numbers in order to coordinate practice times, limiting the production of noise through technological exchange.
