At Gunpoint

Longing to be free, but choices are few. Dancing, singing, being able to go watch soccer, bowling, playing instruments and...Women seek their rights, finding strength in the Significance of small steps. I learned how contemporary art can affect the way people view your artwork.For this artwork I did some research about the revolution that happened 40 years ago In Iran. I found some old newspapers. When I read it I found out how many lies the government told to brainwash people. I grabbed those lies and made a portrait of a woman in the middle of a crowd of people who are judging her because they’re brainwashed. And I used those newspapers to make collages.
