“Much of 2025 was dedicated to painting trees, making repeated studies observing their structure and presence. This painting comes from this period, where I did a 20 minute meditation and visualized a fruit tree, tilted and stretched at a strange angle. There are only simple forms seen here, but somehow this work feels dense and gracefully evolved. The awkward, off-balance openness feels well rounded by sincerity, acceptance, and fruit.”
