The urge to fight longing, the struggle to usher the words – why do we feel the need to flee yet simultaneously embrace an inescapable storm?The painting is referencing a still of the film "Days of Being Wild" by Wong Kar-wai. In drawing thematic influences from the film's compex depictions of love and identity, the work reflect on themes of longing, reluctance, and romantic endeavours.
