midsommar 'the play'

Midsommar being a visually stimulating film that is filled with incredible cinematography and visual direction, I wanted to explore the euphoric nature that is highlighted through the use of movement and colour. In the film, when hallucinagenics are taken, there are various background and foreground elements that shape around movement and so that was incredibly inspiring towards the landscape of colour within the stage view. The chaotic and eerie nature that viewers feel during the film I wanted to bring forth in the lens of live viewership. How might a film that relies heavily upon small intentional details within its environment be adapted into a stage production?
