Clipboard: deterioration as iteration

Clipboard: deterioration as iteration demonstrates the deterioration of images through copying and redistributing, and presents it as an iterative creative practice. The clipboard is a physical manifestation of my digital clipboard–an assortment of cat memes copy and pasted from various parts of the internet. It is printed in a tracing paper, letting the readers see the images on top of each other, and observe the similarities and the trend of cat memes. Images are accompanied with text, all are excerpts from various sources. They are reconstructed into a single article, speaking about the role and value of cheap, replicated images in the times where capitalism and consumerism dictates the accessibility and the preservation of the media.
