People don’t follow rules — they follow what feels safe.
“This project explores how design can shape behavior in urban mobility. In cities, cyclists often shift between sidewalks and roads. Not because they ignore rules, but because they respond to what feels safe. This misalignment creates tension between riders, pedestrians, and drivers. Rather than enforcing behavior through regulation, this project proposes a different approach: guiding movement through design. By using form, posture, and subtle feedback, the bike encourages riders to naturally position themselves within the road. Reframing the rider as a flaneur, this project envisions a more aware, intentional, and shared urban experience.”
