Up Close
Photography
2023
I am drawn to the small details that often go unnoticed. Through close-up photography, I capture textures, materials, and moments that might otherwise be overlooked, using the camera as a tool to slow down and look more carefully. This work reflects my interest in finding beauty and meaning in the subtle and the everyday.
“By isolating these fragments, my work shifts the viewer’s perspective from the larger scene to the intimate. Surfaces become landscapes, light becomes movement, and ordinary objects take on new meaning. This process allows me to explore how something familiar can feel unfamiliar when seen up close. My photographs are not about documenting a place in its entirety, but about noticing what exists within it. They invite a more patient way of seeing, one that values subtlety, stillness, and observation. Through this work, I hope to encourage others to pause, look closer, and find significance in the details that are often passed by.”
