EMBUR is a lighting fixture designed for individuals who struggle with disconnecting from their phones at the end of the day.Its purpose is to provide the individual with a pleasant ambient exchange, replacing the phone with a nice environment to engage in other truly relaxing activities.Hypothesis: After work, school, or a long day, people often utilize social media as a form of relaxation or personal time; however, they often feel drained due to constant connectivity with the outside world.Insight: The mobile phone has become an extension of humans and has been designed to have everything we need in our everyday lives. What else is an accessible requirement for living at home at night? Lighting is the answer. How Might We Question: HMW nudge people to choose healthier ways to unwind instead of turning to social media/phone usage out of habit?Solution: The solution is to provide something pleasant in exchange for the device causing the issue.
