(08) Let's Dance

"Let's Dance" focuses on the unique atmosphere of concerts.

“Simultaneously a communal environment, as you are surrounded by other people, and a solitary experience, with the lights low and everyone focused on the performance. It’s easy to forget about the crowd and feel confident enough to dance. This oil painting depicts my experience of rocking my hair to the music, satisfyingly moving through something other than my limbs. I am painted twice, in motion, dancing to the music as the colourful concert lights shine on the audience.”
