The Vsashchenia lamp

The design was inspired by the drawing in the series of "Proun" by El Lissitzky - "Proun Vsashchenia", created in 1919. The painting was created from geometric and organic forms with muted colours which are characteristic of the Constructivist aesthetic. My intention in designing the lamp is to create a modern, minimal and playful lamp design. When I first saw the painting, it reminiscent me of a mushroom. Therefore, I wanted to create an ambience mushroom table lamp that brings a warm and welcoming feeling to a space while also adding a unique and whimsical aesthetic element. Also represent a sense of nature and organic beauty, bringing a bit of the outside into the room. For lighting, I’m using an E12 light bulb from IKEA with 25 Watts and the colour temperature is 2700 Kelvins (warm incandescent). The soft, diffused casting-down light is designed to give ambient lighting, providing a warm and welcoming glow in the space. The lamp's soft light is aimed at creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for use in bedrooms, living rooms, or any other location where a pleasant feel is desired. The mushroom table lamp is made of plastic, the shade is 3D printed and spray-painted with glossy black paint and the base is laser cut from black acrylic. With the glossy look, it enhances its overall aesthetic appeal.
