This work speaks to the parts of ourselves that remain unseen, the secret selves we bury beneath layers of performance and silence.

“Here I kneel, praying on my bed, begging for forgiveness for what I’ve become, for all I have sinned. The verse “You are not your own; you were bought at a price” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) lies across the bedding like a quiet echo of sacrifice, both Christ’s, and my own. White sheets drape around me, carrying the weight of innocence and repentance, a fragile hope for forgiveness both from myself and god.”
