JealousyIn this evocative piece, the Gardener cultivates jealousy as a visceral, biological transformation.At the heart of the composition, a hyper-realistic eyeball—veined with crimson strain—is depicted in a slow, agonizing emergence from its socket. As it pushes forward, the optic nerves do not lead back into the mind, but instead calcify and mutate into the jagged, woody stems of a Holly plant.
