Faceshopping Visualizer

A short visualizer created in Cinema4D of song by the legendary electronic music producer SOPHIE, Faceshopping.

“I'm drawn to SOPHIE's music because of the unique textures and narratives she tells through sound. Faceshopping is an assault on the ears. It captures syntheticism in auditory form so purely. In translating the sounds into motion, I main blaring melody as bubbles. In hearing the sharp scratchier sounds the bubbles transform into sharp prisms and return to the original form afterward. The shapes grow and shrink as the beat pulsates. The disk is a common motif of PC music, it was a no-brainer to include it spinning during the whirring sounds. A plane of bubbles takes over the screen and takes on the spinning and whirring. The plane flattens and protrudes with the pounding of the beat, similar to how the floor shakes when the bass is too intense in the club.”
