The Whale Chair

Carved from solid black walnut, this wing-back–style dining chair is built around a tall backrest inspired by the gentle spread of a whale’s tail. The legs taper softly, and the arched rails give the frame a light feel, lifting the chair while still feeling grounded. Constructed using domino joinery, splayed and straight angles, and reinforced with stainless steel screws fastened beneath the seat and underside.
