Black Root has sent the ecosystem into crisis. Now, the decrepit screen asks you to save the world– the powerful mining the untapped power of a younger generation for help. This film embodies the unease of corporate imagery and highlights the differences between older and younger generations.

“With this 2D digitally-animated short film, I aimed to create a feeling of unease mixed with uncanny nostalgia: old TV-style glitches, a rolling cart, a barren classroom. The conversation between the students and the teacher where both try to subtly undermine the other highlights the divide between younger and older generations.When writing this film, I knew I needed to create something introductory— simple enough to be entertaining and not too confusing, but still insinuating a larger world outside of it. Something showing that their story isn’t over.”
