“This work explores tension and distortion through a controlled gesture. Pulling the lip disrupts a familiar form, creating an unstable and uneasy image. The interior is ambiguous, blurring the line between surface and depth. Dark fluid moves across the composition, suggesting seepage and a loss of control. The tight focus isolates the moment, emphasizing intensity and discomfort.”
