Fleece textile print of a concrete collarbone body cast
““Respite” is a large-scale print on plush fleece fabric of a concrete body cast. The cast represented is a piece of my partner’s collarbone. Using a marbling pouring technique, the bodily fragment distorts into something topographical and earthy. This piece represents the haven of connection, an escape into the devout safety of intimacy and closeness. It is a distorted memory, something simple and safe abstracted into a soft, stoney recollection. ”
