MinuteMeter is a pay-per-minute insurance system that is a flexible, usage-based auto insurance model that charges drivers only for the exact time they are actively driving their car. Rather than a fixed monthly premium, users are billed in real-time or in tracked increments based on minutes driven, making it particularly affordable for those who drive infrequently. The system uses the data from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to monitor usage and track cost and transparency, giving consumers more control over their insurance dollars and a direct link between cost and behaviour.
