This piece encapsulates my life by centering my wheelchair as a symbol of living with muscular dystrophy, incorporating crocheted elements to reflect my love for crochet and resilience, highlighting nail art as a source of calm and pride, using clothing and colors that express my identity, independence, and life-changing Mitrofanoff surgery, and including splattered paint from family and friends to represent the support system that shapes both who I am and the work itself.
