Añoranza is a visual archive that gathers Mexican cultural identity, memory, and nostalgia. bringing together both personal and collective memory, it fosters human connection through shared experience.
“The project engages with themes of migration and the preservation of identity within the diaspora, reflecting on what it means to exist between places. Through analog filmmaking and photography, the project displays a photo book, a postcard collection, and a mixed-media film. Añoranza invites viewers to engage with the everyday landscape of Mexican life through a more authentic lens, one that challenges misleading stereotypes and reclaims narrative through lived experience.”
