A Leap Between Worlds

Painting
2026
oil and acrylic on canvas
16" x 12" (each panel)
This triptych captures the way my sister and I used to turn our living room into an entire world. I wanted to show how a treadmill can easily become a boat, and a beanbag into a solid rock if you are looking at them through the right memory. The jump between the canvases is that split second of play where the living room ends, and the adventure begins. By painting the water deep and blurry, I am leaning into how those moments feel now—a bit hazy, but still very real. It is a reminder that we never really leave those shared worlds behind; we just carry them with us.
