Ethereal Blooms

This series of three images merges the timeless tradition of still-life photography with the contemporary visual language and aesthetics of modern advertising. Each image presents floral arrangements suspended in a dreamlike, weightless space, drifting through an ethereal atmosphere. I was inspired by behind-the-scenes videos of how videographers use lighting dynamics and techniques in product advertising. With this series, I was trying to reimagine the classic floral still life for modern audiences, turning the familiar subject matter into something that feels more cinematic. Through backlit compositions and contrasting coloured lights, the flowers shift in tone and depth, creating a sense of weightlessness, mediation, and modern aesthetics.
