“This painting extends my earlier work Primordial Sex 1, continuing an exploration of how simple forms intertwine, consume, and become one another. Based on a meal I had consisting of white rice and fish eggs in a seaweed wrap, the composition uses these three elements as materials in flux, merging and dispersing in a dynamic exchange. Through this interplay, the painting considers how consumption becomes a process of becoming, where forms continuously shift within an intimate, tactile environment.”
