p5.js, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, microphone input
Neon Fractal Tree is a generative, audio-reactive visual experience built with p5.js. The project uses microphone input to create a glowing branching structure that responds to sound, turning ambient audio into a meditative screen-based visual system. It explores calm interaction, passive engagement, generative form, and the relationship between input and visual feedback.
“This project investigates how code can create a responsive visual environment that feels calm, immersive, and alive. By connecting sound input to branching growth, the work makes invisible audio patterns visible through movement, light, and repetition. It reflects my interest in interactive media, feedback systems, and digital experiences that invite quiet attention rather than constant instruction.”
