Oil on canvas

A diptych-like oil painting where myth becomes atmosphere: a hidden flower, a night search, a form almost found.

“Fern Flower turns myth into a perceptual condition. Drawing from the Ukrainian legend of a hidden night-blooming flower, the work approaches longing as something searched for, glimpsed, and partially withheld. Biomorphic forms, chromatic veils, diagonal movement, and unstable spatial cues create a field where plant, body, landscape, memory, and dream remain suspended near recognition. The painting does not illustrate folklore; it lets folklore become atmosphere.”
