Exalt
Painting
2026
Oil on canvas
24 × 24 × 1.5 in
A small painting with the force of an omen. Exalt gathers glowing pods, red diagonals, crescent folds, and embered light into a charged field where bloom, body, vessel, and symbol almost become one.
“Exalt feels like something being lit from inside before it knows what it is. Orb-like seeds, crescent forms, red crossings, and smoky passages of violet, green, yellow, and red move through the surface like signs under pressure. The painting does not point upward so much as thicken with charge: a bloom that could be a body, a vessel that could be a sign, a surface that keeps opening into atmosphere. Exalt slows its own symbols down, holding light, pressure, and shadow in a state of becoming.”
