Rivulet

Painting
2026
Oil on canvas
48 × 36 × 1.5 in
An oil painting where the image leaks into being. Rivulet holds stream, profile, shell, moon, wound, and landscape in a pale atmospheric field cut by red marks, drips, and sharp white lines.

“Rivulet is a painting of overflow before it becomes image. Built through veiling, abrasion, glazing, and repeated revision, the work moves between fluid, anatomical, geological, and psychic space. Pale forms rise through darker passages like something surfacing through water or memory, while red marks and sharp whites interrupt the atmosphere. The painting holds containment and release in tension, allowing meaning to gather through seepage, reflection, and delayed recognition.”
